Black Friday phone deals Ireland 2026 – Redmi Note 17 Pro, Xiaomi 15T and Redmi Note 15 5G

Black Friday Phone Deals Ireland 2026: Is It the Best Time to Buy a Phone? Leave a comment

Thinking about a new phone? Black Friday is usually the cheapest week of the year to buy one in Ireland. Prices on popular models drop, older flagships fall hard, and you can get your Christmas shopping done before the December rush. This guide explains when Black Friday 2026 is, whether it’s really the best time to buy a phone, which phones to watch, how Xiaomi compares with iPhone and Samsung deals, and how to tell a genuine deal from a fake one.

We’re an authorised Xiaomi reseller based in Ireland, so we track phone prices every day. For our live offers, see the mStore.ie Black Friday page.

When is Black Friday 2026 in Ireland?

Black Friday 2026 is on Friday 27 November, and Cyber Monday is on Monday 30 November. In practice, phone deals start well before the Friday. Last year Xiaomi’s own UK Black Friday sale ran from 20 November to 2 December 2025, so expect early offers in the second half of November.

  • Mid to late November: early Black Friday phone deals appear.
  • Friday 27 November: Black Friday.
  • Monday 30 November: Cyber Monday, often the last day of the main offers.
  • Wednesday 23 December, 2pm: last order time at mStore.ie for delivery before Christmas.

Is Black Friday a good time to buy a phone?

For most people, yes. Black Friday is one of the two best times of the year to buy a smartphone. The other is a few weeks after a new model launches, when the previous model gets cheaper.

Here’s why Black Friday works so well for phones:

  • Last year’s flagships drop the most. Once a newer model is out, retailers cut the older one to clear stock. You get premium cameras, displays and performance for much less.
  • Mid-range phones get real discounts too. Popular Redmi Note models are often reduced, which makes a great phone even better value.
  • It’s perfect timing for Christmas. You can buy a phone as a gift in November and still return it in January if it isn’t right.

When should you not wait? If your current phone is broken, or the model you want is already reduced, buy now. Many phones in our store already have lower prices, and a good deal today beats a maybe-deal next month.

What phone deals did Black Friday bring last year?

Looking back at 2025 is the best guide to what to expect in 2026:

  • Xiaomi’s UK store led with early-bird savings on the new POCO F8 series and coupon prices on the Redmi Note 14 range.
  • On Amazon UK, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was cut by £440, the Xiaomi 15T by £200, the POCO F7 by £100 and the Redmi Note 14 by £80.
  • Older and previous-generation models saw the biggest price cuts.

Xiaomi advertised savings of “up to 70%”, but the phone discounts we tracked mostly landed between about 15% and 45%. Big headline numbers usually apply to a handful of items, so always check the price of the exact phone you want.

Black Friday phone deals to watch in Ireland

Here are the phones we expect Irish shoppers to look at this Black Friday, with their price at mStore.ie today. Use these as your baseline: if a “Black Friday price” is higher than this, it isn’t a deal. All are EU models with full warranty.

Redmi Note 17 series: the new mid-range favourite

The newest Redmi Note phones are the most popular mid-range choice in Ireland. Today the Redmi Note 17 4G is €259.90, the Redmi Note 17 5G is €329, the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is €389 and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G is €495. New models rarely get big cuts in their first Black Friday, so even a small saving is a good result. Our Redmi Note 17 series guide helps you pick the right one.

Redmi Note 15 series: the best value pick

With the Note 17 now out, the Redmi Note 15 range is where the value is. The Redmi Note 15 is €185 and the Redmi Note 15 5G is €259. If you don’t need the very latest model, these are the Redmi phones to watch on Black Friday.

Xiaomi flagships: premium for less

Previous-generation flagships are already well below launch price. The Xiaomi 15T (256GB) is €549, down from €649. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is €1,195, down from €1,599. If you want the latest camera and performance, watch the newer Xiaomi 17T (€599) and Xiaomi 17T Pro (€729).

Budget phones under €250

For a first phone, a teenager’s phone or a backup, look at the Redmi A7 Pro (€120), the POCO C85 (€129, down from €149) and the Redmi 17 (€209).

Not only after a phone? Our Black Friday page also covers tablets, wearables and smart home, and our Xiaomi Christmas gifts under €50 and €100 guide has ideas for smaller presents.

SIM-free or bill pay: which is cheaper on Black Friday?

Irish networks such as Vodafone Ireland, Three and Eir run Black Friday phone offers too, but a bill-pay contract spreads the phone’s cost over 24 months, often at a higher total price. Buying a phone SIM-free and pairing it with a SIM-only plan is usually cheaper overall. It also means the phone is unlocked, so you can switch network, or move to a pay as you go plan, whenever a better offer comes along. Every phone we sell is SIM-free and works on all Irish networks.

If you’d rather spread the cost, you can pay in instalments with Klarna at mStore.ie and still keep the phone unlocked.

Xiaomi vs iPhone and Samsung: who has the best Black Friday phone deals?

Apple rarely cuts the price of its newest iPhone on Black Friday. Deals on the latest iPhone Pro and Pro Max models usually come through networks as plan offers or as gift cards rather than straight price drops, so the phone itself stays expensive. Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones see more real discounts, especially on last year’s models.

Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones tend to offer the best value of all. You get flagship-level cameras, big batteries and fast charging for far less than a comparable iPhone or Samsung Galaxy, and Black Friday makes the gap even bigger. If you’re happy with Android, it’s the smartest way to get premium features on a budget.

Best Black Friday phone deals under €400

Under €400 is the sweet spot for most buyers. Right now that includes the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G (€389), the Redmi Note 17 5G (€329), the Redmi Note 17 4G (€259.90) and the Redmi Note 15 5G (€259). Any Black Friday saving on these makes them some of the best value smartphones in Ireland.

How to spot a genuine Black Friday phone deal

  1. Check the price now. Note today’s price on the phone you want. A real deal is lower than the normal price, not lower than an inflated “was” price.
  2. Compare the exact model. Storage, RAM and 4G vs 5G versions can differ by €70 or more. Compare like for like.
  3. Buy EU stock. Cheap marketplace listings are sometimes non-EU models with different network bands, specs or chargers, and they can be harder to claim on under warranty. Buy from an authorised reseller.
  4. Check what’s in the box. Many new phones sold in Europe don’t include a charger. Factor that in if you need one.
  5. Read the returns policy. A cheap phone isn’t a bargain if you can’t return it. Check the returns window before you buy.

Black Friday or Cyber Monday for phones?

For phones, it rarely matters. Most offers run across the whole Black Friday week and finish on Cyber Monday. Prices on popular models can sell out, so if you see a good price on the phone you want, it’s safer to buy than to wait for Monday.

Why buy your Black Friday phone from mStore.ie?

  • Authorised Xiaomi reseller in Ireland since 2019 – official EU stock and full warranty.
  • Next-working-day delivery when you order before 2pm.
  • 30-day returns, plus extended Christmas gift returns until mid-January.
  • Pay your way – debit and credit cards, PayPal or Klarna instalments.
