Xiaomi Electric Shaver S301: a rotary shaver that adjusts to your beard
The Xiaomi Electric Shaver S301 is a rotary shaver with floating heads that tilt through 360° to follow your jaw and neck. Each head uses dual-track foils, which Xiaomi says take in 50% more hair than a single-track foil, so you need fewer passes over the same spot.
A chip inside senses the load on the heads and raises the motor speed when it meets thicker hair, which stops the blades stalling or pulling. You can also pick between two speed levels. An LED display on the front shows the battery level, reminds you when the heads need cleaning and shows when the travel lock is on.
The battery is rated for up to 90 days at one minute of shaving a day, and a full charge takes about two hours over USB-C. The body is IPX7 rated, so you can shave dry or with foam in the shower, and rinse the removable head under the tap afterwards.

Can I use the Xiaomi Electric Shaver S301 in the shower?
Yes. It supports wet and dry shaving and the body is rated IPX7, so you can use it with gel or foam in the shower. Dry it fully, including the USB-C port, before you charge it.
How do I clean it?
Take the shaver head off and rinse it under the tap, then let it dry. The cleaning brush in the box clears trapped hair, and the LED display reminds you when it is time to clean.
How long does the battery last?
Xiaomi rates a full charge for up to 90 days at about one minute of shaving a day. If you shave for longer, or use the extra-speed mode a lot, you will charge it more often.
How long does it take to charge, and what plug do I need?
About two hours from a 5V/1A charger. It charges over USB-C, so you can use the cable in the box with the supplied adapter or any USB phone charger you already have.
What does smart speed do?

Does it have a travel lock?
Yes. The travel lock stops the shaver switching on in a bag, and the LED display shows when it is on.
Does it have a beard trimmer?

Should I buy the S301 or the S200?
